THE PANEL

Every hormone marker we test and why it matters.

Most clinics check one number. We look at the full picture, because hormones work together. Men and women get panels built for their bodies, and your clinician may add markers based on your history.

Follow up testing

We keep testing while you are on treatment.

Hormone therapy works best and stays safest when it is monitored. Your clinician repeats key labs about 6 to 12 weeks after you start, then on a regular schedule.

On testosterone

What we watch

  • Testosterone levels to confirm your dose is right
  • Hematocrit, since testosterone can raise red blood cell levels
  • PSA for prostate health
  • Estradiol to keep hormones in balance
On menopause care

What we watch

  • Your symptoms, which guide your dose as much as your labs
  • Estradiol and progesterone when your clinician needs them
  • Testosterone if you are on a low dose
  • Metabolic and lipid markers over time
